THE BIOS
Remy: I'm a 24-year-old Haitian-American, and I'm fluent in both Haitian Creole and English. I currently live in the suburbs - about 30 minutes away from the city of Boston, Massachusetts. I'm also a full-time student - studying Exercise Science, so that I can become a Fitness Trainer, one day; and, I do already hold an Associate's Degree in Information Technology from Massasoit Community College (Massachusetts). When I'm not studying, I like to spend time at the gym - to stay healthy and as fit as possible. I also like to travel, especially because I can experience new locales and meet new people from across the world... hopefully, I can go back to the country of my origin - Haiti - and enjoy a nice vacation there, one day! Whenever I have time, I like to make YouTube content, along with my girlfriend - Alexa. I love having a couple's YouTube channel because that lets me make a lot of great memories with my girlfriend, while also creating a good amount of fitness-related content. My dream job would be - a Fitness Trainer on YouTube. And, I'd love to keep growing my (our) current couple's channel on YouTube, too!
Alexa: I'm 26 years of age, and was born in the United States. I currently live in a suburban town that is about an hour away from the city of Boston, Massachusetts. I'm currently working full-time as an Application Scientist for a company that's known around the world. I do have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State University (Massachusetts), as well. During my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, such as - Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, and Football. I also like to go to the gym, as often as possible since fitness and health are very important to me. I love traveling, especially when I get to travel with my boyfriend - Remy! I'm now attempting to learn Haitian Creole, so that I can visit Haiti, one day and be fluent in the native language there. I would love to visit Hawaii or Bora Bora in the future, too. I also enjoy making videos with my boyfriend whenever we both have free time because creating a variety of content - including random challenges, life-based vlogs, and catchy pranks - with him for YouTube is great! Hopefully, one day, I can become a Content Creator and quit my current job... and, just travel the world thereafter!
Remy and Alexa: We are young lovers who are basically just living life and going with the flow! The way that we met is probably the most hilarious way to meet someone... it could be made into a movie! We met on the road while our cars were each stopped at a set of red lights, shortly after we'd both left from separate 'interesting' situations... and then, we randomly 'clicked' with each other. From that day on, we began to hang out as a couple and slowly fall in love with one another. As time went on, we began to realize that we had a lot in common with each other... we realized that we both loved to work out and travel, and we especially loved to try out different kinds of food. We also watched a lot of YouTube videos/vlogs... and, we realized that if other couples could create popular channels, then we could probably do so, too. We thought that our goofy personalities and us being fitness fanatics would be great reasons for us to start our own YouTube channel. Ever since we started our YouTube channel, we've slowly begun to grow a little family and got to meet wonderful people from all over the world. Creating YouTube content as a couple has also brought us closer to each other, and we are making lots of memories while coming up with different kinds of videos. Hopefully, we can become a popular YouTube couple and show the world what real love is all about!
THE INTERVIEW
Question: What specific factors made you guys decide to create a YouTube channel and start vlogging?
Remy and Alexa: We wanted to express our true selves to the world. We wanted to simultaneously express our goofiness and our love for each other - especially by doing pranks, challenges, lifestyle vlogs, and workout videos. We wanted to also make memories with each other and, maybe, one day show our kids what we were like when we were young - through our videos. We also wanted to meet new people online and gain some friends that way, too. Another reason why we created a YouTube channel would be - the financial possibilities... if we were to make enough money, we'd like to help out certain charities.

Question: What do you think makes vlogging as a couple more enjoyable, compared to vlogging as an individual?
Remy and Alexa: Vlogging as a couple is more enjoyable because you can make memories to treasure and look back on with fondness in the future; and, you can also have a fun-filled experience with another individual. Vlogging as a couple also allows more content ideas to come forward because it's a joint venture... vlogging alone is tougher because the amount of potential content from one person is comparatively smaller - just lifestyle vlogging becomes possible for the most part. Putting two individuals that have different personalities together in a video seems much more interesting, at least to video viewers like us! Vlogging as a couple just seems to have a better overall 'feel' to it, too - mostly because of the company/companionship!

Question: How do you keep yourselves motivated enough to regularly post attractive content on your YouTube channel?
Remy and Alexa: We remind ourselves, each day that if we want to be part of a popular YouTube channel, then we need to keep posting, so that we can gain subscribers. Coming up with attractive content on a regular basis is hard, but we constantly do research on what people seem to currently want to watch... and, we then do our best to create those sorts of videos. We always have a positive attitude, and we like to go with the flow while winging it adventurously from time to time... all of that helps with motivation, idea formation, and content creation. We hope so much that, one day, our channel will become extremely popular, and we just know that posting new videos, regularly is vital before that can happen!

Question: What are the reasons for you guys preferring to stay away from most Social Media platforms, despite obviously enjoying YouTube?
Remy and Alexa: We aren’t opposed to using other Social Media platforms, but we just feel that being on other Social Media platforms is not too important for us, as of right now. We want to do what's best for our YouTube channel... and, we feel that most other Social Media platforms won’t yet be able to help our channel because we are still not super popular on YouTube. However, even before we started our channel, we never liked Social Media that much... Social Media can mentally drain people, and we didn’t want to be sucked into that and start comparing our lives with others who routinely use Social Media. Since we created our channel, we've realized that we may need to start some Social Media accounts for ourselves in the future, just to connect with more people... but we won’t be doing that until we hit a certain high number of subscribers on YouTube.

Question: If you had to choose just five videos at this moment, which five videos on your channel do you both jointly feel most happy about? Why?
Remy and Alexa: The five videos that give us the most happiness are - (1) Spicy Challenge (bit.ly/3sxK3nU), (2) Q & A (bit.ly/3stz1jx), (3) Lift And Carry Challenge (bit.ly/3GH6dsS), (4) Top Interracial Struggles (bit.ly/3GH6ps6), and (5) Couples Lie Detector Test (bit.ly/3oDVHMR).
'Spicy Challenge' was the first challenge that we did for YouTube and it is a hilarious video for anyone who watches... that video is also funny for us to look back on because we were so new to YouTube at that time and had very little idea of what we were doing.
'Q & A' makes us happy because that was the first video that made us 'blow up' in a way... it was the video that started to make people recognize our channel.
'Lift And Carry Challenge' is great because we enjoyed making that video and because it has been our second most popular video. We like doing strength-based/athletic challenges, and that particular challenge pushed us to see who - of the two of us - was the stronger... it was hilarious, as well!
'Top Interracial Struggles' involves a slightly sensitive subject, but the way that we went about it still makes us happy... not a lot of people know the struggles associated with dating outside of one's own race, and we didn’t hold back anything when we spoke about this topic. We spoke the truth, and we liked seeing the comments of support and love that we received, regarding that video. It was especially nice to see that other people go through the same struggles as we do.
'Couples Lie Detector Test' is a goofy kind of video because we had no idea if the machine was going to zap us or not... so, it was hilarious to see each other's reactions and each other's fear of being zapped!
The bottom line is that all of our videos show different sides of us... for example - our goofiness, our athleticism, and also our chill side, which we like to show because we want our unfiltered personalities to come across, as opposed to the fakeness that's shown by many on the internet.

Question: If you were to create a single new video that showcases AT-HOME FITNESS, which five exercises would you include in that video? Why?
Remy and Alexa: The five exercises that we would include are - (1) Plank, (2) Squats, (3) Push-ups, (4) Pull-ups, and (5) Dips.
We would pick these five exercises because they are all bodyweight-based, and there is no equipment needed to do any of them. These exercises are basic/fundamental exercises for one to gain strength... you can do them anywhere, and they each make for a great challenge, too. You can easily break a sweat doing any of these exercises, and they each make us feel good, afterwards. We believe that the more demanding that an exercise is, the better the results will be; all of these exercises are definitely challenging to do... as well as being challenge-worthy with regards to YouTube!
Basically, these exercises would almost certainly make you feel healthy, fit, strong, and satisfied.

Question: If you (as a couple) had to eat the exact same three-course (appetizer, main course, and dessert) meal for dinner, every day for a month with no budgetary constraints, what would that meal be? Why?
Remy and Alexa: We would eat - fried pickles, a Whiskey River BBQ burger (well-done), and a vanilla milkshake.
Fried pickles are delicious, especially when eaten with spicy mayonnaise.
A burger never gets boring - especially a Whiskey River BBQ burger because it is so flavorful.
A vanilla milkshake and a burger make the best combo, in our opinions... you need to attack all of the saltiness with the sweetness, which is why we just have to have the milkshake!

Question: If you could choose any location in the world to spend a romantic month-long vacation without worrying about prices/costs, which one location would both of you jointly choose? Why?
Remy and Alexa: We would like to go to Hawaii - anywhere in Hawaii would do fine because it's a gorgeous group of islands to be at! We like tropical regions, and we especially like to relax on a beach. We'd want to sit on a beach for most of the day while drinking Piña Coladas! We'd also want to go snorkeling in the crystal blue waters and try surfing. Hawaii would be a very romantic place to spend time with each other because of the gorgeous scenery there, among other things. If we could move there permanently, we definitely would... the weather is great in Hawaii, all year round, and we'd much prefer to be in a warm location.

Question: If you could completely ban five words in the English language from ever being used again, which five words would you choose to ban? Why?
Remy and Alexa: The five words that we would ban are - (1) Fat, (2) Ugly, (3) Loser, (4) Disgusting, and (5) Stupid.
These words are used a lot on Social Media and are now also being used in more and more person-to-person interactions... each of them is almost always used to hurt someone's feelings. If we had less of these words, we think that more people would enjoy using Social Media and wouldn’t be scared of being judged by other Social Media users. It's sad to see people using these cruel words against others because everyone should feel beautiful in their own skin and not feel judged by anyone for any reason. If we could ban these five words, then people might feel more confident in themselves and not ever feel humiliated, especially with regards to the way that they look.

Question: If a book was to be written about your lives as a couple to date, which five five-word titles might you consider as being most appropriate for that book? Why?
Remy and Alexa: These are the top five five-word titles that would be most appropriate for any book about us, in our opinions - (1) Adventures Of Remy And Alexa, (2) Remy And Alexa - Goofy Goobers, (3) Remy And Alexa - Fitness Gurus, (4) Remy And Alexa Devour Food, and (5) Remy And Alexa Conquer Challenges.
All five of these titles would be appropriate for a book about us because each one describes who we are - both as individuals and as a couple. We go on different adventures together, every day and make the best out of whatever we find ourselves in. We often do something new... we try to just go with it and try to have fun while being goofy with one another. We are the type of couple that goes out to eat, every day and wants to always try a different variety of food. We also really like to take on challenges and be fitness fanatics, as previously mentioned!
