POSITIVES
- The game is extremely TV-friendly.
- Trial races (that have been, thus far, informal/unregulated) have contained enormous amounts of fun and excitement.
- The game can be played in any Swimming Pool that has a flat floor (Pools used do not even have to be "short course" Pools, although Pools of greater lengths would demand greater levels of athleticism, of course).
- Moderate athletic prowess (i.e. strength/speed of the male partner and balancing skills of the female partner) must be exhibited by both of the teammates.
- The game is relatively simple to administer and to referee.
- Popularity has been proven for some vaguely similar contests, which do receive sponsorship and TV coverage.
- There is no need for protective gear (e.g. helmets).
- The game can easily be controlled and conducted on a long-term basis by an interested sponsor/host/organizer.
- To create added excitement, a Bonus Relay Race is often organized to bring the curtain down on a regular event (for this - the top nine pairs from the regular event transform into three teams with each pair taking on one of the three "laps" for their respective team; the only different rule in this case is - the third "lap" is a "stand-on-shoulders" one, and not a "sit-on-shoulders" one).
- The game can be used to showcase swimwear fashions, as well.
- The game can boost the number of visitors to any host venue.
- Running/walking in water is obviously a great exercise for the human body.
